JOB’S NOT DONE - CONFERENCE COORDINATOR

I assisted in the ideation, planning, and implementing of a diversity conference hosted by the Stan Richards School of Advertising and Public Relations. As a conference co-planner I collaborated cross functionally with both the student and faculty teams to ensure a successful event. Some of our panelists included advertising powerhouses Carol H. Williams, Kirya Francis, and Shanteka Sigers. The event garnered over 100 attendees, and was an impeccable learning experience for both the students and professionals in attendance.

CULTURE SHOCK - EVENT COORDINATOR

Culture Shock is an annual showcase of African and African American, hosted by Campus Events + Entertainment. As the event’s 2017 event coordinator, I was tasked with managing our performers, conducting an event rehearsal, and increasing buzz for the event. The event attracted an audience of 700+, and received rave reviews. You can learn more about the event here.

FEARLESS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE - EVENT COORDINATOR

Fearless Leadership Institute is an initiative at The University of Texas at Austin, that serves to uplift and encourage women of color personally and professionally. Throughout my three years with the program I have served many functions. As an intern, I had the opportunity manage outreach initiatives through outlets such as a weekly newsletter. As a member of the organization’s executive board, I was able to leverage my project management skills to plan an execute monthly informational discussions with 50 university freshmen. In all of my roles I have assisted with the planning and logistics for FLI’s annual female empowerment retreat for 90 undergraduate women of color.
